From initial concept to gradual realization, every stage of this project has undergone countless rounds of discussion, simulation, and refinement. Through close collaboration between the design and construction teams to ensure the highest standards of quality, the construction of Jumin Hospital has moved forward with unwavering stability. Since the official groundbreaking in February 2023, we have successfully completed essential sub-structure works, including underground excavation, diaphragm walls, and lateral bracing systems.
Sub-structure engineering presents multi-faceted challenges involving soil stability, groundwater control, and seismic design. Following two years of “taking root”—from the execution of diaphragm walls to the installation of safety support systems—every waterproofing layer and concrete pour has followed precise sequences and professional judgment. To date, over 6,000 tons of rebar and 30,000 cubic meters of concrete have been utilized. These efforts integrate structural integrity, mechanical and electrical systems, and the load-bearing requirements of future floors, laying a rock-solid foundation for the hospital’s safety.
As the underground structure nears completion, the project will transition from “taking root” to “rising above.” In 2026, the building is expected to break ground-level and commence above-ground structural construction. The 15-story main building, spanning 86,503 square meters, will gradually take shape under the sun, symbolizing a new chapter in the hospital’s development.
The above-ground phase will encompass facade construction, floor structuring, interior spatial planning, and the installation of medical equipment. Each floor is meticulously planned according to patient flow, clinical processes, operational needs, and safety regulations. We continue to move forward with the highest standards, integrating various hospital functions as we head toward our 2028 opening goal.
