竹銘醫院設計之初，即以數位與自動化的思維，重新定義醫院的硬體結構、醫療流程、醫師診療模式及病患就醫服務體驗。
透過雲端醫療服務平台、穿戴式生理監測裝置、居家監測設備，使Home、Hospital、Healthcare成為一體，創造以病人為中心的智慧醫療模式，可進行遠距醫療、虛擬醫院等創新醫療服務，將醫療照護網絡延伸至社區居家，與基層醫療合作，提供民眾全人醫療、全程照護。
醫院資訊系統將採用SaaS (Software as a Service)雲端平台服務模式，以FHIR (Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources)做為資料交換層的格式，並串聯穿戴式生理監測裝置所收集到的數位健康資料，在共通性(Interoperability)標準環境，彈性擴展各種微服務。
