Jumin Foundation, established through the generous support of alumni from National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University (NYCU), founded Jumin Hospital in accordance with the Medical Care Act and related regulations. As a patient-centered, non-profit institution, Jumin Hospital is envisioned beyond the confines of conventional public healthcare systems, with greater latitude for innovation, adaptability, and thoughtful growth. In partnership with NYCU, Jumin Hospital will cultivate diverse talent, advance medical innovation and its clinical application, and foster meaningful engagement with leading international institutions. It is dedicated to serving as a distinguished hub for the future of smart healthcare.

From concept to detail, Jumin Hospital has taken shape through extensive dialogue, careful planning, and continual refinement. Construction is progressing smoothly according to plan and has now entered a critical phase. With four basement levels completed, the structure will rise above ground in the first quarter of 2026, advancing steadily floor by floor. As the opening approaches, Jumin Hospital is set to welcome the community in 2028.

Conceived as a hospital dedicated to exploring the boundless possibilities of life and science, it aspires to a higher calling, bringing together those of shared vision to move forward in purpose and in partnership.

To strengthen the overall development of cancer treatment and precision medicine, a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for industry-academic research collaboration was signed on January 7 by Chi-Hung Lin, President of National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University (NYCU); Chin-Yung Hsu, Chairman of Heron; and Chai-Wu Liu, CEO of the Jumin Foundation. As part of this landmark agreement, NYCU will introduce a 7T MRI system, while Heron plans to construct the “Boron Neutron Capture Therapy (BNCT) and Advanced Imaging Center” at the Bo-Ai Campus. Jumin Hospital will serve as the essential platform and backbone for innovative medical R&D.

As the underground structure nears completion, the project will transition from “taking root” to “rising above.” In 2026, the building is expected to break ground-level and commence above-ground structural construction. The 15-story main building, spanning 86,503 square meters, will gradually take shape under the sun, symbolizing a new chapter in the hospital’s development.

The Jumin Medical Foundation has established its office at the Bo-Ai Campus of National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University. Its interior design was recently recognized by the global benchmark of design excellence—the 2025 iF DESIGN AWARD in Germany.
